Using WinMySQL Professional
Save output to delimited MS-Excel® file

Only accessible when connected, this feature is designed to allow office automation users to process their query results with their office automation tools such as spreadsheet softwares, graph softwares, report softwares, etc ... exporting the output grid content to a delimited format.
WinMySQL Professional had chosen a delimited format to be compatible with most of office automation softwares, such as Microsoft® Excel® or Sunsoft® Staroffice®. Note WinMySQL Professional uses the same delimited convention as Microsoft® Excel®.
With office automation softwares which doesn't use the Microsoft® Excel® convention by default, you must modify its setup (generally, it asks the convention when it loads the delimited file).
To export, the grid content to a delimited format, just invoke the «Save output to delimited MS-Excel® file» submenu. You also can do it with the «Ctrl-M» shortcut. Then, choose a delimiter. If you plan to import this delimited file into Microsoft® Excel®, don't change the default selection (the semicolon).
Then, WinMySQL Professional asks the output filename. By default, it will have the «CSV» extension.
How to read the output delimited file with another software ?
Simply launch the office automation software and use its «open file» menu to select the output delimited file. Then, the software detects that is a delimited file and tries to import it but, it is possible that it doesn't know which is the delimitation character. For instance, Sunsoft® Staroffice® uses the comma «,» by default. You must specify the requested character is a semicolon «;».
Once imported into another software, the WinMySQL Professional output delimited file can be processed or exported to other software formats.
