Using WinMySQL Professional

Refresh privileges

Only accessible when connected, this features allows a DBA to reload privileges : when done, all privileges updates, added or revoked users, passwords changed ... take effect immediately.

Excepted after a user creation without privileges setting, WinMySQL Professional tries to refresh when it is necessary to force modifications to take effect immediately.

This feature is useful when you manually modify anything in the database called «mysql», using, for instance, the SQL pseudo-terminal window (see «Submenu File>New SQL Query» section).

You can invoke this feature clicking on the «Server management>Refresh privileges» submenu or using the «Ctrl-E» shortcut.
