Delete database

Only accessible when connected, the «Server management>Delete database» submenu is one of the most dangerous feature from WinMySQL Professional. Indeed, this submenu allows a entire database destruction in one action. When a such action is performed completely, all the objects of the selected database (tables, records, blobs, files ...) are lost, and the database is suppressed.

Don't worry, this feature is only accessible for DBA. indeed, to do that a user must be granted with the «CAN DROP» privilege.

Then, check your users privileges (with the «Server administration>Manage users privileges» submenu) to revoke this right for users who are not DBA.

To perform this operation, click on the «Server management>Delete database» submenu, then, in the databases list, select which you want to destroy (with an extreme care !!! Do not confuse in this step !) and click on the «Drop Db» button.
